Reconciliation Can Happen
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
Matthew 18:15
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where someone you were interacting with said or did something that really upset you? Well, that happened to me recently. I usually try to stay calm because holding onto anger isn't good for me, and I believe no one should have that much power over my emotions! So, I decided to reach out to the person for some clarity. She shared her perspective, and I shared mine. After our discussion, I realized that my tone might have come off a bit too strong. So, I followed up with her and apologized for my behavior.
In Matthew 18, it teaches us that if someone offends us, we should approach them privately, and if they listen, we can mend our relationship. This suggests that if we approach others with love and humility, reconciliation can happen. Reflecting on my experience, even though I was upset during our conversation, after I apologized, we agreed to disagree, and everything was resolved. So, what I'm trying to say is... don't let pride get in the way; apologize when you realize you've made a mistake! The Lord corrects those He loves, and if you're feeling that conviction, it's a sign of His love for you, urging you to make things right! I know it can be hard... but that tough love is for our own good!
JESUS WANTS A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU: If you haven't found salvation, consider inviting Jesus into your heart. He is ready to help you through life's challenges, but you must take the first step. Even in tough times, He can give you the strength to overcome anything that opposes Him. He will renew your heart with His purpose. This journey is truly rewarding! He wants to be your Father; while He created everything, He isn't the Father to everyone. To accept Him as your Father, you must choose to follow Him. If you want Him as your Father, OPEN YOUR HEART! His love for you is limitless, and He is eager to help you with your struggles. HE LOVES YOU!
