Let Him In
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Lately, this verse has been hitting home for me. If you're anything like me, you love understanding things—researching, figuring things out, and finding certainty. But I’ll be honest: sometimes all that searching can leave me feeling more confused than clear. Yes, God encourages us to ask, seek, and knock. But here's what He’s been showing me: relying only on human reasoning or what “man says” is not the answer. We can inquire, but our ultimate trust must rest in Him.
God is teaching me to invite Him into every part of my life—not just the “spiritual” areas. He made me and knows me completely. So why wouldn't I let Him in? Think about your own home—it belongs to you, and you have the freedom to enter every room. If someone told you that you couldn’t go into a room in your own house, you’d probably look at them like they were crazy. That’s how I see it with Jesus: He created us, yet sometimes we may keep certain “rooms” of our life locked. But He won’t force His way in—we have to open the door. And yes, it’s easier said than done. But being aware of this and practicing it daily makes it more natural over time.
I’ve said this before and I’ll keep saying it: This is about relationship, not religion. Trusting, seeking, and depending on God isn’t a part-time activity—it’s where we’re meant to live. So, I encourage all of us: let’s lean on the Lord for everything. Not just the big things. Not just when we’re lost. But every day, in every area. He knew us before the world was even formed. He knows the answers we’re seeking—so let’s seek Him first.
Jesus Wants a Relationship with You: If you have not found salvation, know that Jesus loves you and is ready to walk with you—but the first step is yours. He won’t force His way in. He waits for you to open the door. When you let Him in, He brings peace, strength, and purpose. Even in your darkest moments, He gives you the power to overcome. Know that God created you, but to call Him your Father, you must choose to follow Him. Jesus loves you deeply. The door is yours to open… LET HIM IN!
