Let Go and Watch The Lord Work

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1 Peter 5:7

I have been dealing with a situation that, for lack of a better word, has really been working my nerves! While praying, I quietly heard in my spirit: You don’t have to solve this on your own, talk to Me about it.

That stopped me in my tracks. I realized I had been sharing my concerns and frustrations with others more than I had been taking them to the Lord. To be honest, it has been bothering me a lot—but the truth is, there is nothing I can do about it. Nothing… except pray and trust God to handle it.

So I want to encourage you with the same reminder: whatever you may be going through, call on the Lord and watch Him work. The Word says, “Cast all your care on Him, because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). In other words—let it go.

When we talk negatively about situations or people, we will have to give an account for those words one day. Instead, let us choose to release it to God. The old Disney song says, “Let it go.” Easier said than done? Absolutely! But that’s my prayer too—that the Lord helps me (and you) to actually live this out. We can do it with His help!
